SPRING ONION DAL FRY

Ingredients:

  1. Toor dal                                    -1 cup
  2. Chopped onion                        - 1 table spoon
  3. Chopped tomatoes                   - 1 cup(need two full tomato medium size)
  4. Asafoetida balls or powder       - 3 small balls or 1/2 tea spoon
  5. Salt                                            - 1  1/4 teaspoon
  6. Turmeric powder                       - 1/2 tea spoon
  7. Water                                         - 2  1/4 cup
  8. Ghee                                          - 1 tea spoon
  9. Oil                                             - 1 tea spoon
  10. Cumin seeds                              -1/4 tea spoon
  11.  Chopped spring onion             - 1 cup
  12. Ginger garlic paste                    -1/2 teaspoon
  13. Red chilli powder                      - 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Garam masala                            -1/2 tea spoon
  15. Chopped green chilli                  - as you needed
  16. Chopped  coriander leaves          -as you needed
Procedure:
  • Take one cup toor dal ,wash properly.
  • Take one cooker add this washed toor dal,chopped onion,chopped tomatoes,asafoetida powder ,salt,turmeric powder one by one.
  • Then add 2 cup of water,close the cooker lid keep cook almost 10 minutes.
  • Take one pan add ghee and oil each one teaspoon,
  • Once become hot the oil and ghee add cumin seeds make it fry
  • Then add chopped onion pieces and mix it well
  • Now add ginger and garlic paste and mix it well
  • Then add red chilli powder,garam masala,salt one by one and mix it well
  • Now add your cooked toor dal before that you smashed perfectly.and mix it well
  • Now add 1/4 cup of water then mix it
  • Then add chopped green chilli for more spicy and tasty.
  • Finaaly add chopped coriander leaves over on it
  • Now our spring onion dal fry is ready
  • This is very good combination for roti,chapati,puri,paratha,afgan roti(dhamees)

Tomato pickle - Revas cooking recipes

                         


Ingredients:

  1. Tomato                       - 1 kg
  2. Mustard seeds            - 2 teaspoon
  3. Fenugreek seeds        - 1 teaspoon
  4. Asafoetida                 - 1/2 teaspoon or 4 balls
  5. Oil                              - 250 ml
  6. Salt                            - 1/2 table spoon
  7. Red chilli powder       - 1 tablespoon 
  8. Vinegar                      - 1 teaspoon
  9. Sugar                          - 1/4 teaspoon
Procedure:
  • Take tomatoes and wash properly and cut it as a small pieces.

  • Take small pieces of tomatoes and put it in blender make it as a puree.



  • Take one pan make it hot add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds and make it dry roast and remove it.

  • In the same pan add 1 teaspoon oil make it hot, once oil became hot, add asafoetida powder or pieces or balls roast it and remove it,take one blender in that add roasted mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds and asafoetida make it as a powder.


  • In the pan add 200ml oil make it hot and add 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
  • Once mustard seeds starts cracked add tomato puree.

  • Then add red chilli powder and mix it well.
  • Add 1/2 tablespoon of salt and cook it well.

  • Now add roasted powder of mustard,fenugreek seeds and asafoetida and mix it well.
  • Add 1 tsp of vinegar for longtime usage.
  • Finally add sugar and mix it well.
  • Cook it well unless oil separate from cooked tomatoes.
  • Take it out and transfer to glass bottle and serve it.

Brinjal drumstick fry - REVA'S COOKING RECIPES

                         

Ingredients:

  1. Sliced brinjal                      - 1 cup
  2. Drumstick pieces                - 1 cup
  3. Chopped onions                  - 1/ 2 cup
  4. Chopped tomatoes               - 1/2 cup
  5. Curry leaves                         - as needed
  6. Masala powder home made  - 1 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Oil                                         - as needed
  8. Mustard seed                         - 1 teaspoon
  9. Salt                                        - as needed
  10. Cumins seed                          - 1 tea spoon
  11. chopped coconut                    - 1 tablespoon
  12. turmeric powder                     - 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Red dry chilli                         - 2 pc
  14. Water                                      - 1/4 cup
Procedure:
  • Take a cooker add oil 
  • once oil became hot,add mustard seeds.
  • when mustard seeds gets cracked add chopped onions

  • Then add chopped tomatoes.
  • Then add salt and curry leaves.
  • Mix it well and now add sliced brinjal.
  • Now add drumstick pieces.
  • Add homemade masala powder,mix it well.


  • Take one mixie jar add chopped coconut,cumins seeds,turmeric,curry leaves,and make it like a paste.


  • Once curry cooked add this paste. 

  • Pour  the water inside the cooker.


  • Lid the cooker cover,cook the curry 10 minutes at low flame.


  • Brinjal drumstick fry masala ready.

Ragi idiyappam - Revas cooking recipes



Ingredients:

  1. Ragi flour                                 - 1 cup
  2. Rice flour                                 - 1/2 cup
  3. Water                                        - 1 1/2 cup
  4. Salt                                           - as you required
  5. Oil                                            - for coating purpose only
  6. Idiyappam mold                   
Procedure:
  • Take one pan add ragi flour and rice flour roasted it together,and take it out keep aside.


  • In the same pan pour the water and make it hot,take out water before boiling.



  • Take one bowl add roasted ragi flour,rice flour and salt. .
  • Mix it well with water.


  • After adding water,mix it properly, make it as a smooth dough


  • Take idiyappam maker mold,inside apply and coated the oil.



  • Then take the smooth dough and fill it inside the mold,and closed the cover.




  • Now take one idly cooker,remove the idly cooker plates,add little bit of oil and coated over on it.


  • Take the idiyappam mold and squeeze the same,over on it a cooker plates.



  • In cooker add 1 cup of water make it hot.


  • Then put the cooker plates,inside the cooker,and lid the cooker cover.




  • Keep it same almost 5 to 10 minutes at low flame for cooking the idiyappam.


  • After cooked the idiyappam,remove the cooker plate and kept outside,

  •  Then remove the idiyappam from cooker plates.


  • And serve it hot,with veg/non veg curry or grated coconut with sugar,coconut milk.

Rasam - Revas cooking recipes

       
                        

Ingredients:

  1. Tamarind                           - 50 gram
  2. Water                                 - 300ml
  3. Tomato                              - 1pc
  4. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 teaspoon
  5. Cumin seeds                      - 1 teaspoon
  6. Garlic small pieces            - 8 numbers
  7. Curry leaves                      - 1 arch
  8. Black pepper                     - 1 teaspoon
  9. Turmeric                           - 1/2 tea spoon
  10. Dry red chillies                 - 3 pc
  11. Oil                                     - 1 tea spoon
  12. Mustard seedS                  - 1 tea spoon
  13. Sugar (optional)               - 1 pinch
  14. Asafoetida                        -  1/2 teaspoon
Procedure:
  • Take tamarind 50 gram soak it in 300 ml of water, almost 15 minutes.


  • Squeeze the tamarind and extract the juice and filter it properly,then keep aside.


  • Take one mixie jar add cumin seeds,garlic,curry leaves,black pepper,turmeric and crushed properly.




  • keep aside the crushed mixtures.




  • Take one pan add oil,once oil becomes hot,then add mustard seeds,curry leaves,broken dry red chillies,make it fry.
  • Then add filtered tamarind juice.
  • Now add crushed mixtures of garlic,cumin seeds,turmeric,curry leaves and black pepper.then add one by one,chopped tomato,coriander leaves,asafoetida,
  
                                    



 
                                                   
  • Mix it properly.and keep the flame very low and cook it,keep watch,once start bubbles,make it stove off,before boiling rasam.
              
  • Our rasam ready. .
